AutoCAD & Procurement Coordinator

Job SummaryWe are looking for a detail-oriented AutoCAD Technician / Project Coordinator to support mechanical and construction projects. This position will primarily focus on AutoCAD drafting, drawing revisions, and as-built drawings, while also assisting with procurement, material tracking, and vendor coordination.

Key Responsibilities AutoCAD (Primary Responsibility)

• Print, organize, and maintain construction drawings.
• Revise and update AutoCAD drawings.
• Prepare and maintain as-built drawings.
• Modify mechanical, piping, and structural support drawings as directed.
• Coordinate drawing revisions with project managers and field personnel.
• Maintain drawing logs and document control.

Procurement & Project Coordination

• Obtain vendor quotations and compare pricing.
• Source vendors for pipe support materials and structural steel components.
• Procure and track materials such as:
• Pipe supports
• Structural steel beams
• Channels
• Angles
• Threaded rods
• U-bolts
• Hardware and support components
• Fabricated rack support system materials
• Prepare and issue purchase orders.
• Track material deliveries and maintain procurement logs.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of project materials.
• Maintain Excel spreadsheets for pricing, procurement, and material tracking.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (required).
• Experience revising and maintaining construction drawings.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with purchasing, procurement, or vendor coordination.
• Ability to read construction and fabrication drawings.
• Construction, mechanical, piping, plumbing, or industrial experience preferred.

Location - 1 LS Way, Chesapeake, VA

Work days - Mon to Fri (8 to 5)

Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
