About the role

Hai Loong Enterprise Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented AutoCAD Drafter to join our Engineering team. This is a full-time position based in Sungai Nibong, Penang. As an AutoCAD Drafter, you will play a crucial role in translating engineering concepts and designs into precise technical drawings that form the foundation of our engineering projects. Your work will directly support the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions and contribute to the successful completion of various projects across the organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Create and prepare detailed technical drawings and plans using AutoCAD software in accordance with engineering specifications and industry standards
• Develop 2D and 3D drawings from conceptual sketches, engineering notes, and design specifications provided by senior engineers
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Modify and update existing drawings based on revisions, feedback, and change requests from project teams
• Ensure all drawings comply with relevant engineering standards, codes, and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to clarify design requirements and resolve technical issues
• Maintain an organised library of drawings and documentation, ensuring proper filing and version control
• Support the preparation of drawing packages for tender submissions, construction, and project implementation
• Assist with quality checks and verification of drawings to maintain accuracy and consistency

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline) or equivalent professional qualification
• Proficiency in AutoCAD with demonstrated experience in creating technical drawings and design documentation
• Strong knowledge of engineering drawing standards, conventions, and best practices relevant to your engineering discipline
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and precise technical drawings
• Competency in interpreting engineering specifications, sketches, and design briefs
• Familiarity with other design software such as Revit, ArchiCAD, or similar CAD applications is advantageous
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
• A methodical approach to work with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement
• Prior experience in engineering drafting or a related role is preferred
