AutoCAD Drafter

Job Summary

Small construction hardware firm looking for a 2D Drafter for proofing and correcting DWG files. Construction and wood framing knowledge preferred. Truss file experience is preferred. Must have strong attention to detail and be able to review and revise drawings under tight deadlines. This is a fast paced & demanding role that comes with many challenges but will be rewarding for the right candidate.

Duties

• Review incoming & outgoing drawings for project standards.
• Update drawings and correct plot errors.
• Flag problems & identify issues for review by Senior Designers.
• Maintain & update project status
• Verify correct documentation/plans for projects
• Work under direction of Senior Designers to maintain company standards & specifications
• Work with overseas teams
• Work with project managers to prioritize project

Experience

• 3+ years of 2D AutoCAD
• Knowledge of Wood Framing Construction HEAVILY preferred
• MUST BE ABLE TO READ & INTERPRET PLANS
• AISC knowledge is preferred
• Experience with manufacturing cut sheet drawings/specs

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
