AutoCAD Drafter

The Pre-Construction Associate plays a key role in supporting architects, engineers, project managers, and field teams in the early phases of project development. This role combines technical drafting, project coordination, and pre-construction documentation to ensure designs are accurate, buildable, and aligned with project requirements.

Drafting Design SupportPrepare detailed shop drawings, layouts, and multiple-view drafts using AutoCAD or similar CAD software.

Convert sketches, hand-drawn concepts, and architectural notes into precise digital drawings.

Ensure all designs comply with fabrication limitations, construction standards, and project specifications.

Maintain and continuously update the AutoCAD block library.

Pre-Construction DocumentationAssist architects and engineers with estimating, plan takeoffs, crowdsourcing, bid preparation, and other pre-construction deliverables.

Produce comprehensive planning reports and visual materials for client presentations.

Record and track daily and weekly project progress for internal monitoring and reporting.

Project CoordinationCollaborate with project managers, field installers, and shop personnel to confirm field conditions and clarify design requirements.

Provide ongoing support to field teams during installation and fabrication stages.

Monitor, evaluate, and recommend improvements to urban plans or project layouts as needed.

Quality ComplianceReview architectural drawings, shop drawings, and specifications to verify accuracy and buildability.

Ensure that all documents, drafts, and revisions meet internal quality standards and client requirements.
