What's Hiring

We are hiring a full-time and dedicated AutoCAD Draftsman to own this stage end to end. You will be the single accountable owner of technical drawings across both companies, from site measurement to approved drawing, so projects move fast and production builds exactly what the client approved.

Responsibilities

• Own all technical shop drawings in AutoCAD for custom fiberglass pots, planters, sculptures, slides and fabricated pieces, based on client references, images, sketches and site information.
• Attend site visits to take accurate measurements, and verify every drawing against actual site conditions and client supplied files before submission or production.
• Turn drawings around fast. The current three to five day cycle should shorten significantly with this role in place, and urgent client requests should never wait weeks for a drawing.
• Communicate drawing status proactively. If a drawing will be delayed or information is missing, flag it early to the project coordinator so the client is never left without an update.
• Produce drawings with complete specifications, including dimensions, finishes, materials, fixing and bracket details, and construction details, so production can work without back and forth.
• Build and maintain a shop drawing database for all standard products, so repeat orders become plug and play with no drawing lead time.
• Coordinate with sales, production and project teams to clarify requirements before drafting, and revise drawings promptly based on client feedback.
• Keep organised records of drawing versions and approvals as the single reference for production.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Architecture or Engineering. Civil or mechanical background is welcome.
• Proven experience producing technical AutoCAD drawings, ideally shop drawings for fabrication, joinery, fit out or construction.
• Confident taking site measurements independently and translating them into accurate drawings. This is a core part of the job, not an occasional task.
• Strong familiarity with construction methods, materials, finishes and fixing details. You should understand how a drawing translates to a physical build and installation.
• Ability to work from incomplete references such as client images and mood boards, and turn them into precise technical drawings.
• Accuracy and attention to detail. Production builds directly from your drawings, so errors are costly.
• Able to manage multiple drawing requests, prioritise confirmed projects and urgent client deadlines, and communicate clearly when timelines are at risk.
• Good communication in English. Comfortable coordinating across sales, design and production teams.
• Based in the UAE or willing to relocate to Dubai.
• Experience with fiberglass, GRC, GRP or scenic fabrication is an advantage.
• Working knowledge of 3D modelling tools such as SketchUp or Fusion.
• Experience building or maintaining a drawing library or standards database.
