AutoCAD Draftsman

• Drafting & Detailing: Generate 2D fabrication drawings, assembly layouts, and detailed piece drawings for steel structures and mechanical components using AutoCAD.
• Shop Drawings: Create shop drawings, material thicknesses, hole patterns, cut lengths, and assembly tolerances , and cutting plan for the water jet for laser .
• Bill of Materials (BOM): Prepare and verify complete Bill of Materials, cut lists, and bolt schedules for procurement and workshop preparation.
• Cross-Team Coordination: Coordinate with engineers, and workshop supervisors to resolve detailing clashes and incorporate revisions based on RFIs (Requests for Information). Coordination with design department for require clarification or detail .
• Document Control: Maintain organized CAD file revisions, drawing registers, and project archives in accordance with company standard drafting practices.
• Technical Knowledge Solid understanding of steel grades, welding symbols (AWS/ISO), GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and standard sheet metal/plate fabrication processes.
• Soft Skills Strong attention to detail, ability to read raw structural/piping/mechanical sketches, and clear communication with fabrication teams.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Proficient in AutoCAD, with the capability to perform hands-on site coordination and on-ground field measurements/verifications.
• Support to Fabrication engineer with closely follow up for detail checking and production
• Diploma / Bachelor's degree Engineering, or a related field, providing a solid foundation in design principles.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in drafting within a construction, engineering, or architectural firm.
• Certification in AutoCAD, demonstrating a commitment to professional development and expertise in the software.
• Proficiency in additional design software such as Revit or SketchUp, enhancing versatility in drafting tasks.
• Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and regulations specific to the local industry, ensuring compliance.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills, capable of identifying potential design issues early in the drafting process.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, able to prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines and project milestones.
• A collaborative team player, comfortable working with diverse teams across multiple disciplines to achieve project goals.
• Physical ability to perform site visits and inspections.
