AutoCAD Draftsman

Job Responsibilities: Using AutoCAD design and drafting software, draftsman will produce technical drawings to serve as a visual guide during manufacturing.

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

• Confer with supervisors to gain an understanding of the scope and requirements of a project.
• Using both manual drawings and computer-based applications, such as computer-assisted drafting, create two-dimensional and three-dimensional drawings of the finished product.
• Create and incorporate mathematical formulas to create component specifications and reproduce their schematics for use.
• Excellent and professional communication skills with customers, plant management and sales team to ensure details and requests are accurate.
• Comply with government guidelines and DOT regulations.

Skills and Qualifications

Associate's Degree or Higher.

Knowledge of ASME and DOT regulations preferred but not required.

• Artistic ability to interpret the vision of the engineer and translate it into a technical drawing.
• Mastery of computer-aided design and drafting software, such as CAD and Solid Works.
• Ability to follow directions and a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain many projects at once and meet deadlines.
• Specify dimensions, materials, and procedures for new products.
• Ability to multi-task and work in an environment with frequent change.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Strong communication and retention skills.
• Two weeks of PTO available after 60-day evaluation period
