AutoCAD Draftsman

Job Purpose

The AutoCAD Draftsman is responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings, layouts, plans, and documentation using AutoCAD software. The role supports engineering, construction, fit-out, maintenance, and facility projects by producing detailed drawings in accordance with project specifications, applicable standards, and company requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings, layouts, and schematics using AutoCAD software.
• Develop architectural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and as-built drawings as required.
• Interpret sketches, specifications, calculations, and design concepts provided by engineers and project managers.
• Update and revise drawings based on project changes, site conditions, and client requirements.
• Conduct site visits when required to obtain measurements and verify project information.
• Ensure all drawings comply with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Maintain proper document control and revision records for all drawings.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, contractors, and project teams to clarify technical details.
• Prepare shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and construction drawings where applicable.
• Assist in preparing project documentation, presentations, and technical reports.
• Archive completed drawings and maintain an organized drawing database.
• Support project execution by providing timely drawing updates and technical assistance.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience as an AutoCAD Draftsman.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD software is mandatory.
• Experience with BIM, Revit, SketchUp, or other design software is an advantage.
• Experience in construction, facilities management, infrastructure, or fit-out projects is preferred.

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
