AutoCAD Draftsman / Drafting Technician

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed architectural, structural, or engineering drawings using AutoCAD software based on initial sketches and specifications.
• Modify and update existing engineering designs, architectural drawings, and blueprints to reflect changes or revisions.
• Ensure all technical drawings comply with industry standards, local building codes, and company regulations.
• Review drawings, maps, and blueprints alongside project managers and engineers to ensure accuracy and structural feasibility.
• Coordinate with engineering and project management teams to gather necessary data, site dimensions, and specifications for project design.
• Maintain a structured and organized digital filing system for all CAD models, project drawing histories, and engineering files.
• Check and cross-reference dimensions, materials, and relationship of parts in final production drawings to prevent assembly errors.
• Produce clear layout schematics, section views, and material take-offs (MTO) for construction or manufacturing teams.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven hands-on experience as an AutoCAD Draftsman or within a technical drafting role.
• Expert-level proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD (2D drafting is mandatory; 3D modeling capability is a plus).
• Strong ability to read, interpret, and convert structural blueprints, engineering calculations, and sketches into clear technical drawings.
• Excellent attention to structural detail, geometric dimensions, and scaling.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate smoothly with site engineers and project managers.
• Familiarity with local engineering drawing standards and project compliance codes.

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
