AutoCAD Operator

About the role

Stage Riggers Inc. is seeking an experienced AutoCAD Operator to join our dynamic engineering team in Silang, Cavite. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our operations, as you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and designs that support our staging, rigging, and structural engineering projects. The AutoCAD Operator will be instrumental in translating conceptual designs into precise, production-ready technical documentation that guides our fabrication and installation teams. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects whilst contributing directly to the quality and accuracy of our deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Create, modify, and maintain detailed AutoCAD drawings and technical documents based on engineer specifications and project requirements
• Convert hand sketches and verbal descriptions into accurate digital designs and blueprints
• Prepare construction drawings, assembly drawings, and installation guides for staging and rigging equipment
• Ensure all drawings adhere to industry standards, codes, and company specifications
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams to clarify design intent and resolve technical discrepancies
• Maintain accurate and organised drawing libraries and documentation systems
• Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance before distribution
• Make revisions to drawings based on feedback from engineering teams and project requirements
• Support the preparation of tender documents and technical proposals with accurate drawings and specifications
• Assist with quality assurance checks to ensure drawings meet required standards

What we're looking for

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting minimum; 3D modelling experience is highly desirable)
• Proven experience working as a draftsman or AutoCAD operator in engineering, construction, or manufacturing environments
• Strong understanding of technical drawing standards, conventions, and industry best practices
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in all drawings
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge of staging, rigging, or structural engineering is advantageous
• Relevant vocational or technical qualification in drafting, engineering, or a related field is preferred
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
