AutoCAD Programmer

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented AutoCAD Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software, particularly AutoCAD, to develop precise technical drawings and programming instructions for various CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed CAD drawings and technical plans using AutoCAD for manufacturing processes and machinery setup.
• Program CNC machines such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, press brake machines, and other automated equipment to produce parts according to specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical diagrams for accurate machining.
• Optimize CNC programs for efficiency, precision, and safety while adhering to quality standards.
• Conduct routine testing of CNC programs on machines like Fanuc controllers and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation.
• Maintain detailed documentation of CAD models, CNC programs, and machine setups for quality control and future reference.
• Support the integration of new manufacturing technologies and tools such as SolidWorks for 3D modeling and blueprint reading.

Requirements

• Proven experience with AutoCAD software for creating detailed technical drawings and programming instructions.
• Strong knowledge of CNC programming, including familiarity with Fanuc controllers and other CNC systems.
• Hands-on experience operating or programming CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, press brake machines, or similar equipment.
• Junior/senior CAD Programmer & LANTEK Layout Operator office shift,
• must have experience with 2- or 3-dimensional CAD systems. ie
• AutoCAD/Inventor, sheet metal and Lantek/TruTops Boost software
• experience highly preferred

Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
