Autocad Project Enginner

Job Purpose:

To prepare, develop, and modify technical drawings and engineering designs using AutoCAD, ensuring compliance with project specifications, engineering standards, and client requirements. The role supports project execution by coordinating with engineering teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely delivery of project documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and develop detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD, as required.

• Review engineering drawings, layouts, dimensions, and technical specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Prepare shop drawings, as-built drawings, and construction drawings in accordance with project requirements.

• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants, and contractors to resolve technical issues.

• Revise drawings based on engineering changes, site conditions, and client feedback.

• Conduct site visits and measurements when required to verify actual site conditions against design drawings.

• Ensure all drawings comply with applicable engineering standards, safety requirements, and company procedures.

• Maintain proper documentation, drawing registers, revisions, and project records.

• Monitor drawing submission schedules and ensure timely completion of assigned deliverables.

• Assist in preparing material take-offs, quantity calculations, and technical documentation when required.

• Identify discrepancies between drawings and project specifications and recommend corrective actions.

• Support project teams during execution, installation, inspection, and handover stages.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical discipline.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D; knowledge of AutoCAD 3D is an advantage.

• Experience in preparing technical and engineering drawings.

• Knowledge of engineering standards, drawing conventions, and project documentation procedures.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• 1 – 3years of relevant experience in AutoCAD drafting, engineering design, or project engineering.
