Duties

• Develop detailed structural drawings and schematics using AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and other CAD software aligned with project specifications and client requirements
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to produce accurate 2D drafting and 3D modeling for various building types
• Prepare comprehensive construction detail documentation, including sections, elevations, and connection details that adhere to local building codes and standards
• Utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools such as Revit and ArchiCAD to create coordinated models that facilitate clash detection and project visualization
• Assist in building code analysis to ensure all designs comply with relevant regulations and safety standards
• Incorporate input from structural engineers into drafting workflows, ensuring system design accuracy and integrity
• Support the review of design schematics, perform revisions based on feedback, and maintain organized CAD files for easy access throughout project phases

Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; experience with Revit, MicroStation, 3ds Max, Grasshopper 3D, Rhinoceros 3D, SketchUp, Bluebeam, SolidWorks, and other CAD or 3D modeling software is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of construction detail documentation and construction experience enhances your ability to produce practical designs
• Familiarity with building code compliance, building code analysis, and schematic development ensures your drawings meet regulatory standards
• Expertise in BIM tools such as Revit or ArchiCAD for creating coordinated models that support system design and clash detection
• Ability to perform mechanical design considerations within structural projects; experience with interior design or graphic design is a plus
• Skilled in drafting for engineering CAD design projects across various disciplines including mechanical systems and system design workflows
• Excellent understanding of 2D animation techniques for visual presentations; knowledge of construction detail documentation processes is essential
