AutoCAD Technician

As the AutoCAD Technician, you are responsible for assisting with the drafting and production of building plans for new builds, remodels, conversions, and future prototype projects. In this role, you will create and update building drawings, dimension sheets, and floor plan options while ensuring designs follow company standards, local building codes, and ADA requirements. You will also assist with reviewing and resolving code comments, maintaining the building plans library, and developing CAD standards to improve design efficiency and visual clarity. You will have the opportunity to learn and work with both 2D and 3D renderings.

The AutoCAD Technician is a Support Team role based out of our Corporate Office in Norcross, GA in the metro Atlanta area. What you'll do:

• Draft and produce building drawings for new construction, remodels, conversions, and prototype projects while considering company standards, local building codes, and ADA requirements
• Update or design dimension sheets and create floor plan options for remodel, conversion, and prototype buildings
• Assist with reviewing and resolving building code comments
• Maintain and support the physical and digital building plans library
• Develop CAD standards to improve design workflow efficiency and visual clarity
• Assist with non-standard layout designs and develop skills in 2D and 3D renderings

What we're looking for:

• Someone who understands basic building systems, including structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components
• Someone with knowledge of construction materials and finishes
• Someone proficient in AutoCAD LT or a higher version of AutoCAD
• Someone proficient in Graphic Standards (recognition and drafting)

Experience/Educational Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of AutoCAD experience preferred
• Working knowledge of building systems (Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing), construction materials, and finishes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel
• Familiarity with SketchUp modeling software and/or Smartsheet preferred
