AutoCAD Technician

EPP Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior AutoCAD Technician with an extensive background in commercial office fit-out and refurbishment.

We need someone who understands how office interiors are built and can translate surveys, design information and project requirements into precise, coordinated drawings that site teams can confidently work from.

Exceptional attention to detail is essential. You will take ownership of drawing accuracy, identify discrepancies before they reach site and maintain high standards from initial survey through to final as-built documentation.

The role

• Produce detailed AutoCAD drawings for commercial office fit-out and refurbishment projects, including general arrangements, setting-out plans, partition layouts, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, sections and construction details.
• Undertake site surveys, verify dimensions and accurately record existing conditions.
• Develop practical details for partitions, glazing, doors, ceilings, raised access floors, finishes and interfaces with building services.
• Coordinate architectural information with structural, mechanical, electrical and specialist subcontractor drawings.
• Identify clashes, missing information and buildability issues, raising clear technical queries and supporting their resolution.
• Prepare drawings for review, approval, construction and as-built records, maintaining clear revision histories and document control.
• Work closely with project managers, site teams, clients, consultants and suppliers.
• Manage competing deadlines while maintaining accuracy and consistency.

What we are looking for

• Extensive, demonstrable AutoCAD experience within commercial office fit-out, ideally including Cat A and Cat B projects and refurbishment in occupied buildings.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, with disciplined use of layers, blocks, external references, drawing standards and sheet layouts.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating detailed construction drawings and technically resolved fit-out details.
• A relevant qualification in CAD, architectural technology, construction or a related discipline, supported by substantial practical experience.
• Excellent knowledge of construction methods, materials, tolerances and the interfaces between trades.
• An understanding of how fire, acoustic and accessibility requirements are reflected in coordinated construction information.
• Meticulous checking habits and the confidence to challenge incomplete, inconsistent or impractical information.
• Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and take responsibility for deliverables.

Experience with Revit, BIM coordination and demanding corporate environments would be advantageous.
