NW Automatic Doors is looking for an experienced Automatic Door Engineer to join our team, working with customers across North Wales.

The role

You'll carry out installation, servicing, planned maintenance and repairs on automatic door systems, including sliding and swing doors.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults

• Attending customer breakdowns and completing effective repairs

• Carrying out safety inspections, testing and commissioning

• Working in accordance with BS EN 16005 and manufacturers' instructions

• Completing accurate service reports and recording defects or recommended work

• Communicating clearly with customers and our office team

• Maintaining safe, tidy working areas and delivering a professional service

Essential requirements

• Current BS EN 16005 qualification/certification (essential)

• Proven experience installing, servicing and repairing automatic doors

• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills

• Experience with a range of automatic door manufacturers

• Full UK driving licence

• Ability to organise your workload and work independently or with colleagues

• Reliable approach, attention to detail and good customer communication

Nice to have

Experience with roller shutters, gates, barriers, manual doors and fire exit doors. CSCS, IPAF or PASMA, plus knowledge of access control systems, would be a bonus.
