Automation Commissioning Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Automation Commissioning Specialist to support the deployment and servicing of advanced automated systems used in lithium-ion battery production. This is a fully on-site role suited to engineers who enjoy working directly with equipment, solving technical challenges in real time, and seeing projects through from installation to customer acceptance.

What You Will Do

• Lead on-site installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of automated battery manufacturing equipment.
• Investigate equipment faults, determine root causes, and apply practical corrective actions to minimise downtime and maintain stable production.
• Execute equipment optimisation, upgrade, and retrofit activities, including supporting validation and performance testing.
• Conduct operator and maintenance training sessions for customers to ensure safe and effective equipment use.
• Work closely with internal engineering and project teams to resolve technical issues, keep projects on schedule, and drive high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Support equipment testing, acceptance processes, and additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

What We Are Looking For

• 2-3 years of experience in equipment commissioning, industrial automation, or a comparable engineering discipline.
• Demonstrated hands-on involvement in at least two completed on-site projects.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities with a methodical approach to problem-solving.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well across teams and with external stakeholders.
• Willingness to work fully on-site at the designated project location and to work reasonable overtime when project demands require it.
• Flexibility to travel between project sites as needed.
