Automation Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking an Automation Developer to build and maintain automation solutions for IT infrastructure, platform operations, and workflow orchestration. The developer will identify repeatable operational tasks, implement reliable automation, integrate systems, and improve consistency, speed, and visibility across infrastructure and service-management processes.

Key Responsibilities

Assess IT infrastructure and platform operations to identify manual, repetitive, error-prone tasks suitable for automation.

Design, develop, test, and maintain automation scripts, workflows, and orchestration solutions using tools and languages aligned with the client environment.

Automate operational activities such as routine checks, provisioning, configuration, monitoring responses, incident enrichment, and remediation where in scope.

Integrate automation with infrastructure platforms, APIs, monitoring tools, service-management systems, and deployment pipelines.

Build validation, exception handling, logging, alerting, retries, and rollback safeguards into automation workflows.

Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, DevOps, service desk, security, and application teams to gather requirements and validate solutions.

Document automation logic, prerequisites, access requirements, runbooks, support procedures, and known limitations.

Perform unit, integration, regression, and operational testing before release.

Monitor automation performance and reliability; troubleshoot failures and improve maintainability and reuse.

Follow secure credential handling, least-privilege access, change-management, and production-release standards.

Required Skills and Experience

6+ years of relevant experience as listed in the requirement; approximately 5–7 years is the target described in the source notes.

Experience in IT infrastructure, platform automation, scripting, and workflow orchestration.

Proficiency in at least one relevant scripting/automation technology, such as PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ansible, or an equivalent tool used in the client environment.

Experience integrating systems through APIs or automation connectors and troubleshooting failed jobs/workflows.

Understanding of logging, monitoring, access control, change management, and production support.

Strong problem-solving, documentation, and cross-team communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Exposure to cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, monitoring/observability, or ITSM automation.

Experience with enterprise orchestration platforms and infrastructure-as-code practices.

Experience measuring automation outcomes such as reduced manual effort, faster resolution, or improved operational consistency.

Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,800,000.00 per year
