Automation Engineer (Banking)

Key responsibilities

• Architect, scale, and maintain automated test frameworks leveraging Selenium for web and Appium for mobile real-device cloud platforms
• Embed AI-driven self-healing locator mechanisms into automation runners to minimize maintenance overhead caused by dynamic UI changes
• Integrate automated testing suites seamlessly into enterprise CI/CD deployment pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab
• Configure service virtualization and mocking frameworks such as WireMock to isolate downstream core banking or treasury systems and simulate market data feeds
• Build and maintain automated device matrix workflows across iOS and Android device variants and OS versions
• Partner closely with development, DevOps, and business analyst teams to drive shift-left testing practices and optimize release cycles

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
• 6+ years of hands-on test automation experience, preferably within retail banking, fintech, or digital financial services
• Advanced programming proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript
• Deep hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, Appium, and REST API automation tools
• Strong knowledge of native mobile platforms, including iOS/Android certificates, provisioning profiles, and biometric authentication test bypass strategies
• Practical experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI) and version control workflows (Git)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with fluency in English and Cantonese (preferred)
