Automation Engineer

About the role

VSTECS (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our team. As an Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving the development and implementation of automated solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity within our operations. This full-time position is based in the Lavender Central Region, offering opportunities for growth and development within our dynamic organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Design, develop and implement automated systems and processes to streamline various operational tasks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for automation and develop tailored solutions
• Troubleshoot and maintain existing automated systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
• Continuously research and evaluate new automation technologies to identify opportunities for improvement
• Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues on the use of automated systems
• Document and maintain detailed records of automation projects, including procedures and best practices

What we're looking for

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in automation engineering or a similar role
• Proficiency in programming languages and automation software, such as PLC, SCADA, and HMI
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex issues
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders
• Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in automation
• Continuous learning mindset to stay up-to-date with emerging automation technologies
