ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to join the Quality Engineering team. The role focuses on maintaining and enhancing automated testing, running regular regression testing and keeping the automation suite stable and reliable. Strong hands-on experience with Java, Playwright and Selenium is needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform daily regression testing to validate functionality and identify defects.
• Develop, maintain and enhance automated test scripts using Java and Playwright.
• Maintain and support existing Java-Selenium automation where required.
• Analyze automation failures and find whether the cause is the application, test script or framework.
• Fix flaky and unstable tests, and improve the stability and execution efficiency of the suite.
• Update test cases as the application changes, and convert repetitive manual testing into automated scenarios.
• Collaborate with developers and QA teams on regression coverage, and document defects, scripts and test processes.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Programming and Automation: Java, Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, building and maintaining automation frameworks.
• QA and Testing: Daily regression testing, test case creation and execution, defect identification and documentation, root cause analysis of failed tests, test coverage and regression planning.
• Automation Maintenance: Maintaining an existing automation suite in production, updating scripts for application changes, troubleshooting flaky tests.

GOOD TO HAVE

• CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD.
• Git/GitHub/GitLab; Maven or Gradle.
• API testing with Postman or REST Assured.
• Agile/Scrum; large-scale web applications and enterprise testing environments.

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
