We are supporting a growing biopharmaceutical manufacturing site looking for an experienced Automation Engineer . The role will take a key position in developing and supporting process automation across a sterile manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, configure and improve Siemens PCS 7 systems within the manufacturing environment.
• Take technical ownership of automation projects and system modifications.
• Troubleshoot complex automation and process control issues.
• Support integration, commissioning and optimisation of new and existing systems.
• Prepare and support FAT, SAT and system testing activities.
• Create and maintain automation and system documentation.
• Ensure data integrity, system reliability and GMP-compliant automation .
• Work closely with Process Engineering, Production, Quality, IT/OT, Validation and international automation teams.
• Identify and implement technical improvements to enhance equipment performance and process stability.

Requirements

• Degree or technical qualification in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering or a related field.
• Several years of practical experience with Siemens PCS 7 .
• Strong understanding of PCS 7 architecture, engineering, configuration and system integration .
• Experience with automated process manufacturing systems.
• Background in pharmaceutical, biotech, chemical or another regulated process industry would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of GMP, data integrity and validated automation systems is desirable.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and structured problem-solving skills.
• Very good German and good English language skills.
• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary technical and operational teams.
