Job Summary

VHS Mechatronics is looking for an Automation Engineer to support industrial automation, machine commissioning, troubleshooting, and process improvement. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in PLC programming, HMI, VFD/servo drives, sensors, and automated machinery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC programs.
• Develop and troubleshoot HMI applications.
• Troubleshoot automation and electrical issues in production machines.
• Work with VFDs, servo drives, sensors, actuators, relays, and control panels.
• Support machine installation, commissioning, trial runs, and debugging.
• Read and interpret electrical and control panel drawings.
• Identify and resolve machine breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventive maintenance of automation systems.
• Support machine/process improvement, cycle-time reduction, and automation projects.
• Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and external vendors.
• Maintain PLC program backups, automation documentation, and technical records.
• Follow machine safety and electrical safety requirements.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience in PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of HMI programming.
• Experience with Siemens / Mitsubishi / Allen-Bradley / Omron PLCs.
• Knowledge of VFD and Servo drives.
• Good understanding of industrial sensors and electrical control panels.
• Basic knowledge of pneumatics.
• Ability to read electrical/control circuit diagrams.
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as PROFINET, PROFIBUS, Modbus, or Ethernet/IP is an advantage.

Qualification

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, EEE, ECE, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, or a related field.

Preferred Industry Experience

Candidates with experience in automotive, auto components, manufacturing, machine building, assembly, machining, welding, or industrial automation will be preferred.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for candidates with strong hands-on troubleshooting and machine automation experience, rather than candidates with only theoretical PLC knowledge.
