Job Summary

Spark Techwave InnovationZ Pvt Ltd is looking for a QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test solutions for web and API-based applications.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with test automation, Selenium or Playwright, Java/Python/JavaScript, API testing, SQL, test frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines. The candidate will work closely with developers, product teams, and QA engineers to ensure application quality, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Create automation test cases based on functional and technical requirements.
• Automate web applications using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools.
• Develop reusable and maintainable automation frameworks.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Execute automated test suites and analyze test results.
• Perform API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.
• Validate backend data using SQL queries.
• Identify, document, track, and retest software defects.
• Perform root-cause analysis of automation failures and application defects.
• Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines.
• Maintain test data, test environments, and automation configurations.
• Collaborate with developers to identify and resolve defects.
• Participate in sprint planning, requirement discussions, test planning, and release activities.
• Maintain test documentation, automation reports, and defect reports.
• Continuously improve automation coverage, framework reliability, and execution efficiency.
• Support quality assurance activities throughout the software development lifecycle.

Required Skills

• 26 years of experience in QA Automation / Software Testing.

• Strong understanding of software testing concepts and SDLC/STLC.

• Hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar automation tools.

• Strong programming knowledge in at least one language:

• Java

• Python

• JavaScript / TypeScript

• Experience developing automated test scripts and frameworks.

• Experience with API testing and REST APIs.

• Good knowledge of SQL and database validation.

• Experience with test frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, PyTest, or similar.

• Experience with Git/version control.

• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience working with defect tracking tools such as Jira or similar.

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

• AWS / Azure cloud testing environments.
• Experience with microservices and distributed applications.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 2–6 years of experience in QA Automation or Software Testing.
• Strong hands-on automation experience with at least one major framework.
• Good programming and debugging capabilities.
• Strong understanding of functional and regression testing.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
• Ability to identify automation opportunities and improve test coverage.
• Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work closely with developers, QA teams, and product stakeholders.
