Location: Hybrid (Minimum 3 days onsite) - Plano, TX OR Charlotte, NC OR Jersey City, NJ

Must Haves:

• 7-10+ years of infrastructure/software engineering experience
• Strong automation engineering background
• Hands-on Terraform development experience
• Strong Ansible automation experience
• Experience building and maintaining infrastructure automation at enterprise scale
• IBM MQ platform administration/engineering experience
• Experience with MQ configuration, patching, maintenance, upgrades, and automation
• Linux/UNIX administration and shell scripting experience
• Experience supporting environments across VMs, physical servers, containers, and cloud platforms
• Public and private cloud experience
• Enterprise-scale deployment experience
• Strong troubleshooting and platform support skills

• Kafka experience
• Python development experience
• Messaging technologies (IIB, Tibco, Kafka, etc.)
• Dynatrace or AppDynamics monitoring tools
• Ping Access and certificate management

Day to Day:

Insight Global is seeking an MQ Automation Engineer for a leading financial services client. This individual will join the enterprise messaging engineering team responsible for IBM MQ platform engineering, certification, and automation initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong infrastructure automation expertise with Terraform and Ansible combined with hands-on MQ administration experience. This role is heavily focused on automating MQ deployments and patching processes across thousands of environments, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving large-scale infrastructure challenges within a complex enterprise environment.

Day-to-Day:

• Automate IBM MQ deployments, patching, and platform management processes
• Support thousands of MQ environments across diverse infrastructure platforms
• Develop and enhance Terraform and Ansible automation solutions
• Certify, test, and validate MQ platform releases before production deployment
• Partner with engineering and operations teams to improve deployment efficiency
• Support enterprise messaging platform modernization initiatives
• Troubleshoot platform issues and optimize operational processes
• Ensure deployment consistency across cloud, container, VM, and physical server environments
