Automation Engineer

Perform corrective and preventive maintenance to ensure the availability of production machines and equipment, conducting failure analysis and closing out actions to eradicate the root cause of technical failures in order to minimize unplanned downtime and extend equipment life. Act as a support to maintenance coordination, generate and issue reports, and train the rest of the maintenance team.

Responsibilities

• Program, troubleshoot, modify, and optimize Siemens PLCs, HMIs, and Variable Frequency Drives using TIA Portal.
• Manage PLC backups, software versions, and automation documentation for production equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve automation and control system failures to minimize production downtime.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on automated manufacturing equipment.
• Lead root cause analysis of machine breakdowns and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment reliability, efficiency, and performance.
• Create and improve preventive maintenance plans and maintenance records in SAP.
• Support production operations, train maintenance personnel, and coordinate third-party maintenance providers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• 3-5 years of experience in industrial maintenance and automation.
• Strong knowledge of Siemens PLC programming using TIA Portal.
