Automation Engineer

Responsibilities :

ASSEMBLY AUTOMATION

• Applies and promotes application of HSE and quality policies and procedures including :

• PLC & robot & HMI program risk analysis

• Follow up and promote HSE validation

• Assistance to operations:

• Supports operations in case of major or new issue on assembly processes/equipment, including :

• Automation audit on equipment/cell

• Supplier robotic/plc/hmi program modification

• Robot/automation program ADJUSTMENT during tuning phase/retrofit/re-use

• Participates in operations productivity workshops

• Customer/Industrial projects activities :

• Validates technical feasibility of robotics aspects and participate to design for manufacturing if required

• Supports the definition of equipment specifications & supplier sourcing

• Supports the validation and commissioning of robotized applications following development of robotic equipment standard (functional analysis, validation plan , project report and so on)

• Ensures methodological and technical standards are applied in all the projects

• Consolidates lessons learnt from the projects into metier best practices and standards

• Metier activities:

• Contribute to robotic network activities linked to central roadmap

• Participate during definition/ define of technical standards,

• Industrializes validated solutions,

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Engineering Technician with experience or Engineering Master degree in Automatism and Robotics

• 2/3 years of experience in assembly field in plant or equipment supplier or other automotive tier 1 supplier as assembly equipment project manager.

• Advanced experience in robotics and automatism

• Good understanding of HSE/ergonomics

• Knowledge in Robotics:

FANUC robot : TPE language , simulation Roboguide software

KUKA Robot : KCL language, simulation Kuka sim pro software

• Knowledge in PLC/HMI :
• Siemens & Allen Bradley knowledge
• Vision Cameras, AI and others
• Good communication skills, team player, English language
• Willingness to travel. Support of projects both in the USA as well as Mexico
