🚨 UK CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY | Automation Engineer III

A leading global energy & grid engineering organisation is looking for an experienced Protection / Automation Engineer to support major HV transmission and renewable energy projects.

📍 Stafford, UK | On-site

💷 Competitive houly rate | Inside IR35

📅 Contract through Feb 2027

Key requirements:

National Grid Settings Authorisation
HV protection settings & coordination
Distance, differential, overcurrent, earth fault & busbar protection
Short-circuit / fault-level studies
DIgSILENT PowerFactory experience
AC substation / transmission experience
Electrical Engineering degree
7+ years’ relevant experience preferred

Desirable: HVDC, BESS, renewables, grid stability, arc-flash and commissioning experience.

📈 The initial contract runs to February 2027, with potential for extension depending on project requirements, workload and business needs .
