Job Overview

We are looking for a Quality Engineer with strong experience in software testing and test automation to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of applications and systems. The role will work closely with developers, business analysts, product teams, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building and maintaining automated test solutions using Python and is comfortable working in Agile development environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using Python.
• Create and execute automated and manual test cases based on business and technical requirements.
• Develop test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and test data.
• Identify, document, track, and verify defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Collaborate with developers and other technical teams to investigate and resolve defects.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines where applicable.
• Maintain and improve existing automation frameworks and testing processes.
• Analyze test results and identify potential quality, performance, and reliability issues.
• Participate in requirements and design discussions to identify potential testing risks early in the development lifecycle.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinate with business stakeholders when required.
• Ensure adequate test coverage across applications and features.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, tools, and methodologies.
• Prepare test reports and communicate testing status, risks, defects, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
• Work closely with Agile/Scrum teams and participate in relevant ceremonies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Software Testing, or QA.
• Strong hands-on experience in test automation.
• Strong programming/scripting experience using Python – REQUIRED.
• Experience developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks.
• Experience with functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and QA processes.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Technical Skills

• Python – Required
• Test Automation – Required
• Automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, PyTest, Robot Framework, or similar
• API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar
• CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
• Version control using Git
• SQL/database testing is an advantage
• Experience with cloud environments is an advantage

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building automation frameworks from the ground up.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with API and web application automation.
• Knowledge of performance, security, or accessibility testing is a plus.
• Experience working with enterprise applications or large-scale systems.
• Experience in insurance, financial services, consulting, or other regulated industries is an advantage.
• Relevant QA, Agile, or automation certification is a plus.

Pay: Php70,000.00 - Php120,000.00 per month
