Automation Engineer (Software)

Job Responsibilities :-

1. Able to support automation development, machine optimization, and Industry 4.0 digitalization initiatives.

2. Develop, read, modify, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC (Mitsubishi/Keyence), Robot (UR, EPSON, Delta, Mitsubishi, Innovance), HMI, and UI software programs

3. Design and implement machine control logic, automation sequences, and error recovery mechanisms.

4. Integrate robots, PLCs, vision systems, sensors, and industrial communication protocols.

5. Develop and maintain HMI/SCADA interfaces for machine operation and monitoring.

Support machine commissioning, debugging, validation, and continuous improvement activities.

6. Create and maintain software documentation, program backups, and change records.

Job Requirements :-

1. Bachelor Degree in Mechatronics / Automation / Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering
2. Minimum 4 years working experience in electronic manufacturing
3. Experience in automation equipment structure and workflow
4. Experience in equipment installation, line integration, or process improvement in a manufacturing environment
5. Familiar with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (for progress tracking and reporting)
6. Able to communicate effectively on production floor and coordinate between departments
7. Understanding of PLC signal behavior and basic electrical control concept
8. Experience working with equipment vendors or SI (e.g. SAT/UAT support, modification follow-up)
9. Exposure to electronics assembly machine related HMI
10. Familiarity with MES, SPC, or production equipment data flow
11. Experience in cross-functional collaboration with HQ or NPI teams
12. Language proficiency : Bahasa Melayu and English. Mandarin language proficiency is an added advantage
13. Candidate must willing to work in Port Klang Selangor
