Automation Engineer – Validation & Compliance

Role Summary

• Biopharmaceutical MNC @ Joo Koon
• Monday - Friday, 8:00AM to 5:15PM
• 9-Months Renewable Contract, Up to $9,800 per Months

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and support automation and computerized systems used in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Troubleshoot and maintain PLC, HMI and SCADA systems to ensure reliable production operations.
• Support Rockwell Automation and Siemens platforms, including FactoryTalk, TIA Portal and WinCC.
• Perform routine system compliance activities including user access, alarm reviews, audit trails and system backups.
• Support equipment qualification, validation and commissioning activities.
• Prepare and review validation documents such as risk assessments, IQ/OQ protocols and validation reports.
• Manage and support deviations, change controls and CAPAs related to automation systems.
• Ensure systems remain GMP-compliant and in a validated state throughout their lifecycle.
• Support data integrity and cybersecurity requirements for GMP automation systems.
• Work closely with QA, Engineering, Manufacturing, IT, Validation teams and equipment vendors.
• Provide technical support during audits and regulatory inspections.
• Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis, and support continuous improvement projects.

Requirements

• Degree in Automation, Electrical/Electronics, Instrumentation, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience, preferably in pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with PLC/SCADA systems.
• Knowledge of GMP, equipment validation and computerized system compliance.
• Experience with Rockwell FactoryTalk, Siemens TIA Portal, WinCC, Historian or Active Directory is preferred.
• Experience with Maximo, TrackWise or Kneat is an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced and highly regulated manufacturing environment.
