Automation Engineer (Vision & Robot)

• Competitive salary (Basic + Car Allowance + Petrol Card)

• Working Hours: 8:30 am to 6:00 pm (Mon to Fri)

Responsibilities:

• Support the sales team in promoting Factory Automation (FA) products and solutions through technical presentations, product demonstrations, and customer engagement.
• Manage multiple industrial automation projects concurrently, ensuring project milestones, deliverables, and deadlines are met.
• Serve as the primary technical contact for customers on project scope, schedules, budgets, and technical issues.
• Prepare regular project status reports and provide progress updates to management.
• Perform on-site system installation, setup, commissioning, and testing of machine vision systems.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide technical support to customers.
• Integrate and configure machine vision hardware, including cameras, lenses, optics, lighting, controllers, and vision software.
• Conduct sample evaluations and feasibility studies to assess system integration requirements and solutions.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics (Robotics & Automation), Electrical/Electronics Engineering (Control Systems), or a related discipline.
• Knowledge or experience in 2D/3D machine vision, industrial robotic arms, collaborative robots (cobots), PLC implementation, industrial control systems, and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Hands-on experience in selecting, integrating, calibrating, and troubleshooting machine vision inspection systems and robotic systems.
• Experience in computer vision and deep learning will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of C++ or C#, particularly in developing software for machine vision and inspection applications, will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols and 2D/3D drawing software is an advantage.
• Experience handling industrial automation projects as an Automation Engineer is preferred.
• Able to work independently, self-motivated, and willing to work overtime when required.
• Responsible, proactive, and possesses good interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Good command of written and spoken English, with sound computer literacy.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
