Automation Engineering Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Project & Program Management:
  • Lead and oversee Automation and Engineering Improvement Projects from initial planning through to completion (approx. 3–5 projects per year).
  • Act as Program/Project Manager, controlling project timelines, cost, investment, and overall budgets.
  • Monitor progress, track milestones, and drive teams to achieve project targets within budget and schedule.
• Automation & Technical Implementation:
  • Lead automation projects, upgrades, and new equipment installations.
  • Drive key focus areas including Vision System Implementation (Automated Inspection / AOI) to replace manual inspections and increase efficiency.
  • Lead production line improvements by integrating SCARA robotics and automation systems to reduce operating costs.
  • Support, maintain, and migrate PLC, Vision systems, SCARA robots, and industrial network systems.
  • Develop, modify, and optimize control logic and automation programs.
  • Troubleshoot automation and control system issues to minimize downtime.
• Cross-Functional & System Integration:
  • Manage integration between production equipment and information systems.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Technical teams to understand technical constraints, solve execution challenges, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain system documentation, backup protocols, and change management records.
  • Provide technical training and support to operations and maintenance personnel.

Qualifications & Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in: Automation Engineering ,Mechatronics Engineering ,Electrical / Control Engineering ,Mechanical Engineering  Or other related engineering fields.
• Minimum 4–5+ years of relevant experience in Automation Systems, Automation Engineering, or Process Engineering.
• Proven background in Project/Program Management handling multiple projects from conception to completion.
• Solid understanding of Automation Systems, Vision Systems/AOI, SCARA robotics, PLC, and industrial networks.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing/production processes, coupled with practical experience in cost, investment, and budget control.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with technical teams and resolve engineering bottlenecks.
• Experience in Electronics / Electronic Manufacturing is strongly preferred.
• Able to communicate effectively in English.
