About the Role

PinnPack is seeking a motivated intern to join our IT/Operations team and support the automation of internal corporate workflows. This is a hands-on opportunity to work directly with team members across departments, learn how the business operates day-to-day, and help identify and eliminate repetitive, time-consuming manual tasks through modern automation tools — including AI-assisted development platforms like Claude and Claude Code.

This role is ideal for a candidate who is curious, personable, and eager to learn both the technical and operational sides of a growing packaging manufacturer. Because a number of the workflows involve financial reporting and analysis, candidates with a basic grasp of accounting or finance concepts (e.g., MBA students or those studying Accounting or Finance) are especially encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet with team members across departments (e.g., sales, customer service, finance, operations) to understand their day-to-day responsibilities and workflows
• Identify repetitive, manual, or time-consuming tasks that are strong candidates for automation
• Assist in designing, building, and testing automation solutions using tools such as Claude, Claude Code, and Microsoft Power Automate
• Document existing processes and proposed automated workflows clearly for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Support testing and rollout of automation tools, gathering feedback from end users
• Collaborate with the IT team on ongoing automation and process-improvement initiatives
• Assist with automation of finance and accounting-related workflows (e.g., reporting, reconciliation) where applicable
• Maintain clear, organized records of completed and in-progress automation projects

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with Claude and/or Claude Code, or strong willingness and aptitude to learn quickly
• Basic understanding of automation concepts (e.g., workflow automation, scripting, or low-code/no-code tools)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills — comfortable interviewing team members and asking clarifying questions
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation habits
• Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Basic understanding of accounting or financial concepts, sufficient to assist with automating finance-related workflows and reporting
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Technology, MBA, Accounting, or Finance) — or equivalent practical experience
• Exposure to Microsoft 365 tools (Claude, Excel, Power Automate, Teams)
• Basic scripting or programming experience (Python, SQL, or similar)

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 per week
