Automation Mechanical Engineer (Bangpoo)

Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Automation Mechanical Engineer to design, implement, and optimize mechanical systems for automated production lines. This role focuses on equipment integration, process efficiency, and supporting high-volume manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure stable, scalable, and cost-effective automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical systems and modules for automated production lines.
• Participate in full project lifecycle: concept design, development, assembly, testing, and mass production ramp-up.
• Collaborate with electrical, controls, and software engineers to integrate complete automation solutions.
• Lead or support equipment installation, debugging (commissioning), and on-site troubleshooting.
• Analyze production issues and implement mechanical improvements to enhance yield, uptime, and efficiency.
• Optimize cycle time, machine throughput, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
• Conduct tolerance analysis and ensure mechanical stability for high-precision applications.
• Work with suppliers on component sourcing, fabrication, and cost optimization is a plus.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation (drawings, BOM, SOPs, WI) is a plus.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and manufacturing requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3–8 years of experience in automation equipment or production line development.
• Strong hands-on experience in machine assembly, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD).
• Familiar with motion systems (servo motors, linear guides, ball screws，control of robot arms, motors, I/O, cameras, and etc).
• Experience with pneumatic systems; hydraulic knowledge is a plus.
• Basic understanding of PLC, sensors, and industrial automation control systems.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production line operations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under production pressure.
