Automation Technician

Crossroad Energy Solutions is currently seeking an experienced Automation Technician / Programmer to support oilfield customers in the Cotulla Area. The role requires a hands-on automation professional who can troubleshoot field systems, modify PLC/RTU programs and support commissioning and customer operations.

The successful candidate must be reliable, communicate effectively, work safely and professionally, and be comfortable working independently and as part of a team. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

The successful candidate:

· Significant upstream oil and gas automation experience.

· Program and troubleshoot PLC and RTU systems used in field production environments.

· Support SCADA, HMI and industrial communications systems.

· Troubleshoot analog/digital I/O, instrumentation and field communications.

· Work with Modbus and common industrial networking protocols.

· Read electrical schematics, P&IDs and control documentation.

· Perform I/O checkout, startup and commissioning.

· Diagnose problems from the field device through PLC/RTU and SCADA layers.

· Communicate clearly with customers and operations personnel.

· Travel within the region and work flexible hours as customer needs require.

Preference will be given to candidates who:

· Have Rockwell / Allen-Bradley, Emerson Floboss or FB300 or ABB totalflow programming experience.

· Have compressor, wellsite, SWD, CTB or production-facility experience.

· Have good HMI/SCADA development and industrial-network troubleshooting skills.
