Job Title: Automation Technician (Parenteral Manufacturing Support)

Location: Concord, NC

Shift: Night Shift (2-2-3 schedule)

Compensation: $40-45/hr

Overview

Brooksource Engineering Services is supporting a leading parenteral manufacturing partner in Concord, NC. We are seeking Automation & Filling Technicians to support aseptic fill/finish operations across high-speed, highly automated production lines.

This role blends hands-on equipment support with automation troubleshooting to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient manufacturing of injectable products. Candidates will play a critical role in maintaining line uptime, supporting batch execution, and driving continuous improvement in a GMP-regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support operation of aseptic filling, stoppering, capping, and inspection equipment in a high-throughput environment
• Perform routine troubleshooting on automated systems, including PLC/HMI interfaces and mechanical components
• Partner with Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality to resolve process and equipment issues impacting production
• Assist with line setup, changeovers, and batch execution to meet production targets
• Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities to reduce downtime and improve throughput
• Support deviation investigations and implement corrective actions as needed
• Maintain compliance with cGMP, aseptic practices, and standard operating procedures
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, OpEx) focused on reliability and efficiency

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated manufacturing environment
• Hands-on experience supporting filling, packaging, or automated production equipment (parenteral preferred)
• Basic knowledge of automation systems (PLC, HMI, sensors, robotics, or vision systems)
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills with ability to identify root causes of equipment issues
• Understanding of GMP and aseptic manufacturing requirements
• Ability to work a rotating 2-2-3 schedule (day or night shift)

Preferred Experience

• Experience in aseptic fill/finish or sterile manufacturing environments
• Exposure to isolators, RABS, or high-speed filling lines
• Familiarity with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar control systems
• Experience supporting line startups, commissioning, or capacity expansions
