Senior Automation Tester – API / Microservices
6-Month Contract | Likely Extensions | Melbourne Hybrid | $900–$950/day
We’re looking for a Senior Automation Tester to join a high-profile integration and transformation program within a major Australian organisation.
This is a hands-on automation role focused on API and microservices testing, with responsibility for building and maintaining scalable automated test frameworks and embedding quality into CI/CD.
Key Skills
- Strong Java 11+ and JUnit 5 experience
- Expert REST API automation using Rest Assured
- Experience with Spring Boot and microservices
- Gatling for performance testing
- WireMock / Hoverfly / MockServer for service virtualisation
- CI/CD experience with Jenkins, Bamboo or similar
- Docker, cloud and distributed systems experience
- Experience with Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, Git and JIRA
- Strong understanding of API security, resilience and automation best practices
