Automation tester with playwright

Role & responsibilities

We are looking for a skilled Automation Testing Engineer with hands-on experience in Playwright and API Testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation frameworks for web applications and APIs, ensuring high-quality software delivery through continuous testing and automation.

Key Responsibilities

Exp - 6 to 9 yrs

Location - Hyderabad

• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks using Playwright.
• Design and execute automated test scripts for web and API testing.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and end-to-end testing.
• Create and maintain API automation suites using Postman, REST Assured, or Playwright API testing capabilities.
• Validate RESTful APIs, request/response payloads, authentication, and database interactions.
• Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and report defects effectively.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and test scenarios.
• Ensure adherence to test automation best practices and coding standards.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to quality improvements.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience in Software Testing and Test Automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript or Java).
• Expertise in API Testing using Postman, REST Assured, Swagger, or similar tools.
• Experience in automation framework design and development.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, JSON, and API authentication mechanisms.
• Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Experience with TestNG, JUnit, or Jest frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Git and version control systems.
• Familiarity with SQL and database validation.
• Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Selenium WebDriver.
• Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Experience with BDD frameworks like Cucumber.
• Performance testing knowledge is an added advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
