Automotive Lot manager

Overview

We are seeking a dependable and highly organized Automotive Lot Manager to oversee the daily organization, movement, condition, and readiness of our dealership's vehicle inventory.

Duties

• Manage the overall appearance and organization of the vehicle lot, ensuring it remains clean, safe, and inviting for guests.
• Direct vehicle movement on and off the lot, including parking, retrieval, and staging for test drives.
• Assist customers with guest services by providing information about vehicles, answering questions, and offering a positive experience.
• Perform heavy lifting when necessary to move vehicles or equipment safely around the lot.
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers to coordinate vehicle availability and address any concerns promptly.
• Organized and maintain dealership vehicle inventory.
• Ensure vehicles are parked in their designated locations.
• coordinate movement of vehicles between dealership lots, service locations, and other facilities.
• Keep accurate records of vehicle locations and inventory status.
• Inspect incoming vehicles and report damage or mechanical concerns.
• Ensure vehicles are clean and ready for customers.

• Assist with receiving vehicles from auctions.

Skills

• Strong guest services skills with a friendly, professional demeanor that enhances customer satisfaction.
• Previous dealership experience or familiarity with automotive operations is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of standard passenger car operation and driving skills; ability to operate manual transmissions confidently.
• Experience in hospitality or retail environments that require excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle outdoor work in various weather conditions.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers alike.
