Automotive Painter

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and energetic Automotive Painter to join our dynamic team. Duties

• Prepare vehicle surfaces meticulously through sanding, masking, and surface cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
• Apply primers, paints, coatings, and finishes using conventional spray guns or airless paint spraying equipment with precision and consistency.
• Conduct auto body repairs including dent removal, welding, grinding, and auto restoration to restore vehicles to their original condition.
• Use automotive buffing and polishing tools to achieve smooth, glossy finishes that meet quality standards.
• Operate power tools such as grinders and hand tools safely while adhering to all safety protocols, including respiratory protection measures.
• Perform detailed vehicle inspections post-painting to identify imperfections and perform touch-ups or refinishing as needed.
• Collaborate with team members on vehicle maintenance tasks and assist in heavy lifting when required for large or complex projects.

Qualifications

• Proven dealership or automotive repair shop experience as an automotive painter or refinisher.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, grinders, buffing machines, and spray guns for painting and finishing tasks.
• Knowledge of automotive surface preparation including masking, sanding, and applying primers or coatings.
• Ability to work efficiently with auto body refinishing products such as paints, primers, clear coats, and detailing supplies.
• Commitment to safety practices including the use of respiratory protection equipment during spray painting processes.
• Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude towards teamwork and communication.
• Physical capability for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods during demanding projects.
