Automotive Service Advisor

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our energetic team. Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and professionally, establishing rapport to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
• Clearly explain recommended repairs and maintenance services, including oil changes, tire service, brake repair, suspension, alignment, transmission work, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repairs
• Prepare accurate auto estimates using dealership or shop management software and communicate costs effectively to customers
• Upsell additional services by highlighting benefits that enhance vehicle safety, performance, and longevity
• Coordinate with technicians and mechanics to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of work
• Write detailed service orders and maintain thorough documentation of all customer interactions and vehicle repairs
• Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards

Experience

• Proven experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or in auto service management roles
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on mechanic experience preferred
• Familiarity with automotive diagnostics, repair procedures, and technical terminology such as transmissions, oil changes, alignments, tire services, suspension systems, brakes, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, and auto body repair
• Skilled in auto estimating software and service writing processes
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally
• Experience in upselling automotive services to maximize revenue opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and sales techniques related to automobile sales and automotive repair services

Pay: $22.00 - $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 43.0 per week
