Automotive Service Advisor

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Automotive Service Advisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact between customers and our service department, ensuring a seamless experience from vehicle check-in to completion. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of automotive repair processes, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. The Service Advisor will also assist with sales and upselling services to maximize customer satisfaction and dealership profitability.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival, establishing a welcoming environment
• Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues
• Explain recommended repairs and services clearly, ensuring customer understanding
• Prepare detailed repair orders and communicate necessary work to technicians
• Provide updates to customers on the status of their vehicle repairs or maintenance
• Upsell additional services or maintenance based on vehicle needs and customer preferences
• Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently
• Maintain thorough knowledge of dealership services, promotions, and financing options
• Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and encourage future business
• Assist in maintaining a clean, organized service area and administrative records

Experience

• Previous automotive shop experience is highly preferred, providing familiarity with automotive sales and service processes
• Advisor experience or mechanical knowledge is advantageous for understanding technical repairs and communicating effectively with technicians
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
• Proven sales ability, including upselling services in a professional manner
• Experience handling cash transactions accurately and managing financial paperwork is desirable
• Knowledge of automotive repair procedures enhances communication between customers and technicians

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
