We are seeking an experienced Service Manager / Service Advisor to lead our front-of-house operations, foster client relationships, and ensure shop workflow runs seamlessly.

Role Overview

As the Service Manager / Service Advisor, you will be the bridge between our customers and repair technicians. You’ll be responsible for managing client communications, writing detailed repair orders, estimating jobs accurately, and overseeing the daily operations of the shop floor to maximize customer satisfaction and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service & Communication: Welcome clients, listen attentively to vehicle concerns, explain necessary maintenance/repairs in clear terms, and keep clients updated throughout the repair process.
• Estimate & Repair Order Management: Prepare detailed, accurate repair estimates for parts and labor using shop management software; obtain client approvals prior to initiating work. Maintain a high closing percentage and customer retention/satisfaction.
• Workflow & Operations Management: Dispatch work orders efficiently to technicians based on skill set and shop capacity, monitoring job progress to ensure on-time delivery.
• Parts & Inventory Coordination: Source and order correct OEM and aftermarket parts to minimize technician downtime. Return parts and manage inventory.
• Shop Leadership: Oversee daily front-office operations, handle invoice settlement, resolve customer issues with professionalism, and help maintain high customer retention rates.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 1+ years of experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or Service Manager (experience with European vehicle makes preferred).
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of automotive systems, routine maintenance schedules, and mechanical diagnostics. Experience working in an auto repair shop as a technician is preferred.
• Software Proficiency: Experience with shop management software and general desktop software.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal ability.
• Valid Driver’s License: Active driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to pass a background check and drug screen are required.

• Pay: Competitive base salary plus performance bonuses / commission incentives (commensurate with experience).

• Environment: Supportive team environment with modern shop tools and standard business hours. Working hours from Monday-Friday 8:00 am until 5:30 pm.

Pay: $44,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
