Duties

• Greet customers warmly, listen carefully to their vehicle concerns, and provide clear explanations of recommended services.
• Use estimating software to prepare detailed repair estimates, including labor and parts costs, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
• Coordinate with technicians to diagnose vehicle issues using automotive diagnostics tools and mechanical expertise.
• Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, suspension repairs, brake repairs, shocks & struts, transmissions, and collision repairs when appropriate.
• Manage service writing tasks efficiently by documenting customer requests and vehicle conditions accurately in dealership management systems.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding vehicle status updates and repair recommendations while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Handle cash transactions securely and process payments accurately at the end of each service visit.
• Assist in managing service operations by promoting auto service management best practices and ensuring smooth workflow.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar automotive service role within a dealership or repair shop environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair, diagnostics, and vehicle maintenance procedures.
• Familiarity with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
• Knowledge of automotive systems such as transmissions, suspension, brakes, tires, shocks & struts is highly desirable.
• Previous experience with auto estimating and service writing is preferred.
• Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity and customer trust.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; driving experience is essential for test drives or vehicle inspections.

Pay: $63,000.00 - $77,200.00 per year
