Automotive Service Technician Responsibilities

• Perform bumper-to-bumper automotive repairs on domestic vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension, steering, and other mechanical concerns.
• Perform preventative maintenance, vehicle inspections, and general automotive repairs.
• Use diagnostic scan tools, factory service information, and specialized automotive equipment.
• Identify vehicle issues and recommend appropriate repairs based on diagnostic findings.
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high standards for workmanship and safety.
• Document completed repairs and communicate repair needs with service advisors.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Meet dealership productivity and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Automotive Technician, Automotive Mechanic, or Automotive Service Technician required.
• Bumper-to-bumper repair experience preferred.
• Ability to diagnose and repair a variety of automotive mechanical concerns.
• Experience with automotive diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
• ASE certifications are a plus.
• GM or Chevrolet dealership experience is beneficial.
• Valid driver's license.
• Own tools required.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to quality repairs.

Work Schedule

• Full-time position
• Monday through Friday
• Five-day workweek
• No Saturdays or Sundays
