Automotive Service Writer

Blue Skies Automotive is a locally owned and growing automotive repair shop in Nampa, and we’re looking for a dependable, personable Service Writer to join our team.

This position is the connection between our customers and our technicians. We’re looking for someone who communicates well, stays organized, follows through, and understands that a great customer experience is just as important as quality work in the shop.

What You’ll Do

• Greet customers and help them feel comfortable and confident leaving their vehicle with us
• Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues
• Create and manage repair orders and estimates
• Communicate with technicians throughout the repair process
• Keep customers informed about recommended repairs, pricing, and completion times
• Clearly explain repair and maintenance recommendations without unnecessary pressure
• Schedule appointments and help keep the daily workflow organized
• Coordinate parts and repair needs with the shop
• Process customer payments and complete repair paperwork accurately
• Follow up and make sure customers receive the level of service we expect at Blue Skies Automotive

What We’re Looking For

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Dependable, organized, and able to follow through
• Comfortable working with computers and learning automotive software
• Able to handle several priorities while maintaining attention to detail
• Automotive knowledge or previous service-writing experience is helpful, but we value the right attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn
• Comfortable communicating repair recommendations and helping customers make informed decisions
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Pay: $16.00 per hour
