Automotive Technician (B-Level)

Automotive Technician (B-Level) — $25/Hour

Grip & Go Tire Company is looking for an experienced B-Level Automotive Technician to join our growing team in Lansing, Michigan.

This is not an entry-level tire technician position. We are looking for an experienced technician who can work independently and confidently handle brakes, steering & suspension, wheel alignments, and tire service.

Required Michigan Certifications

Applicants must currently hold both:

• Michigan Brakes & Braking Systems certification
• Michigan Steering & Suspension certification

Both certifications are required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair brake systems
• Diagnose and repair steering and suspension systems
• Perform wheel alignments
• Replace struts, shocks, control arms, ball joints, tie rods, wheel bearings/hubs, and related components
• Mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires as needed
• Inspect vehicles and identify needed repairs
• Complete repairs accurately and efficiently
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

What We're Looking For

• Professional automotive repair experience
• Strong experience with brakes, steering, and suspension
• Wheel alignment experience preferred
• Comfortable mounting and balancing tires when needed
• Ability to work independently and complete jobs correctly
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable and professional
• Takes pride in quality workmanship

Our Shop

Grip & Go Tire Company specializes in tires, brakes, wheel alignments, steering, and suspension.

We do not perform engine or transmission repair.

This position is ideal for an experienced technician who is strong in brakes and front-end work and wants to focus on those areas without being expected to handle major engine or transmission repairs.

Pay & Schedule

$25.00 per hour
Full-time — 40 hours per week
Overtime available when needed

Base pay is approximately $52,000 per year, with the opportunity to earn more through overtime.
