Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Body Technician to join our dynamic team!

We are an automotive restoration shop in Newark, Ca. We are looking for a skilled auto body tech that can join our team as we continue to grow. We specialize in classic vehicles and attention to detail and high quality finishes are what we pride ourselves on. We are offering 4 days/10 hours. Friday-Sunday off.

You will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original condition through expert repair techniques, precise craftsmanship, and attention to detail. Our position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about automotive repair and dedicated to excellence in vehicle restoration.

Duties

• Perform automotive structural repairs, including frame straightening and sheet metal work, using welding repair techniques such as MIG welding and soldering.
• Utilize a variety of hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive welding equipment
• Repair or replace auto glass, install automotive parts, and perform auto restoration projects with attention to detail.
• Fabrication for sheet metal and custom fabrication
• Prep vehicles to be painted.
• Mask vehicles.

Experience

• Proven experience working as an automotive body technician at collision shops or restoration shops
• Experience with MIG welding, soldering, and fabrication repair techniques
• Strong mechanical knowledge
• Experience with automotive structural repair, auto restoration, auto painting, and refinishing processes preferred.
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, airless paint spraying equipment
• Parts installation, auto glass replacement, and automotive cosmetic repair techniques

Pay: $28.22 - $45.00 per hour
