What they need

Automotive Technician

Come Work Somewhere That Is Actually Invested in Your Success.

There are a lot of dealerships looking for technicians.

We’re looking for the right people.

We’ve built our Fixed Operations department around a simple belief: if we want great technicians, we need to create an environment where great technicians can succeed.

That commitment starts at the top. Our ownership is actively involved in Fixed Operations, our management team knows what is happening in the shop, and technician development isn't something we talk about once a year.

It happens every day.

What Being Invested in Our Technicians Actually Looks Like

Your pay is reviewed every August.
Every August, we sit down and review technician compensation and raises. We don't expect technicians to continue developing their skills, productivity, and value without recognizing that growth.

We pay for training.
We want our technicians getting better. If we're asking you to develop your skills and knowledge, we're willing to invest in making that happen.

You get a one-on-one with leadership every other week.
Every two weeks, each technician sits down with the Service Manager, General Manager, and Owner.

We review your previous two weeks and talk about things that actually impact your career and earning potential: productivity, PencilWrench usage, bay cleanliness, video multipoint inspection quality, and a development topic for that week.

This isn't about waiting until there's a problem to talk to you.

It's about consistently helping you get better.

You have a non-working Shop Foreman whose job is to support the shop.
Our Shop Foreman isn't trying to flag his own hours while also managing everyone else. His job is to make you more successful.

He handles dispatching, quality control, diagnostic and repair assistance, workflow, video quality, and multipoint inspection quality so technicians can concentrate on producing quality work.

You have a Service Manager who understands your job.
Our Service Manager is first in and last out, brings a great attitude to work, and has experience as both a technician and a service advisor.

He understands what happens on both sides of the service drive and what technicians need from management to be successful.

Our advisors know how to sell.
Great technicians need great advisors.

Our service advisors understand how to present recommendations, sell legitimate needed work, communicate with customers, and—just as importantly—set clear expectations about job completion with both the customer and the technician.

You shouldn't have to wonder whether the customer was promised their vehicle at 2:00 when you were planning on having it finished at 4:00.

And Yes, We Take Care of Our People.

On the last Friday of every month, we bring in a complimentary food truck for our employees.

Every Saturday, lunch is catered.

And you'll find a Sub-Zero refrigerator stocked with soda, water, Powerade, and tea for the team.

Those things aren't what make someone a great technician—but we think the people working hard for us every day deserve to be taken care of.

We're Looking for the Right People.

We're looking for technicians who take pride in their work, want to produce, want to learn, and want to be held to a high standard.

In return, we're willing to hold ourselves to a high standard as an employer.

We want technicians who are looking for more than their next job. We want people who want to build a career, increase their earning potential, sharpen their skills, and work for a leadership team that notices their effort.

If You're a Great Technician, Your Management Team Should Be Helping You Become Even Better.

Here, that commitment goes all the way from the Shop Foreman and Service Manager to the General Manager and Owner.

If that sounds different from the shop you're working in today, we should talk.
